As it starts shipping to customers today, the new Nothing Phone (3a) series is getting an update that adds a “Camera Presets” feature.

Following their launch at MWC 2025 last week, Nothing is officially shipping the Phone (3a) starting today. Customers who placed a pre-order can expect delivery soon, if they haven’t received a device already, and open orders are now available as well. Or, at least they would be if the base Nothing Phone (3a) weren’t already out of stock in the US. The device is available in other regions, though.

Nothing Phone (3a) Pro pre-orders have also opened as of today. However, like the base model, Nothing is sold out of the Pro variant in its US “Beta Program.”

This comes as the first update is now rolling out, an update that will likely be available out of the box for buyers. Nothing OS V3.1-250302-1856 delivers various improvements and bug fixes, including updates to Essential Space such as widgets. The biggest changes come to the camera. There are fixes and refinements, but also a new feature.

“Camera Presets” allow users to adjust the camera based on the current environments, or just tune it to their preferences.

Nothing explains:

Introduced Camera Presets for quick access to optimal settings for different scenes. Share and import Presets to exchange your favourite camera settings and filters with others or the community.

The feature feels rather similar to Apple’s “Photographic Styles” on iPhone, which similarly allows users to create presets for the camera. A welcome addition for Nothing, though, is that these presets can be shared with other users who can import them for use on their own devices. So far, this feature is only on Nothing Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro.
