For the past few years, the top of the Google Discover feed has shown widget-esque cards with glanceable information, and “your space” is now available on more devices.

This extension of Google Discover, which is available on Android and iOS, doesn’t have a proper name besides “your space.” At the moment, it surfaces cards for: Air quality, Games (“Games by Google” is a recent addition), Finance, Shopping, Sports, Updates from searches, Sunrise and Sunset, TV and Movies, and Weather.

As of beta version 16.12, we’re now seeing it on more types of Android devices, including the Pixel Tablet and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 6. Given the mostly phone-esquire nature of the latter device, it’s unclear why Google took so long to launch it there. The tablet delay is somewhat more understandable, but does not bode well for tablet app-parity.

This carousel is available in 1 and 2-line configuration depending on the content.

With this broader availability, the personalized Daily Listen podcast is now available on said foldables, but not the Pixel Tablet. The player simply does not launch when tapped.

Speaking of the personalized show based on your Discover interests, Google recently updated the card to feature a brief description of the first topic instead of the date. This might encourage listens.
