Besides Search and Discover, the Google app on Android offers a bookmarking system that is now getting a fresh coat of paint as part of the “Activity” tab.
“Activity” replaces the “Saved” tab and appears at the end of the bottom bar, with Notifications moving up. There are three sections:
History shows your four most recent searches and visited sites, with each item placed in a card that notes the day, date, and time, as well as domain and a prominent favicon. The overflow menu lets you Save, Share, and Delete. Tap the “[x] items” count to get a full “History” list.
Saved items is the old “All saved items” collections view, but everything is individually presented in a carousel. This can include Google Maps listings, saved movies and TV shows, images, and websites.
window.adSlotsConfig = window.adSlotsConfig || [];
adSlotsConfig.push( {
slotID: ‘/1049447/Outbrain’,
slotName: ‘div-gpt-ad-outbrain-ad-666035’,
sizes: [300, 250],
slotPosition: ‘mid_article’
} );
Finally, you can browse all your Collections.

Overall, the History aspect of Activity is a good addition, and faster than people tapping the search bar to view past queries or using the full My Activity page that’s available in the top-right account menu (Search history).
We’re currently seeing this Activity tab with the beta version of the Google app (16.10). It’s not yet widely rolled out to stable, but Google will likely proceed with this design as it’s been live in the iOS app for quite some time.
