After a redesign of the Weight stats page in November, Fitbit is now updating Water logging on Android.
Some users are now seeing a new Water page with four top tabs: Day, Week, Month, and Year.
You previously had a reverse-chronological list, while the top chart offered Week, Month, 3 Months, and Year views. The light blue status bar betrays the old style.
This redesign matches the modern look of most other stats, while “Quick Add For Today” has been removed from the main page. People that log how much they drink by visiting the Water page might not like this extra step. As an alternative, they can use the main FAB (floating action button) menu, while the app shortcut is available.
window.adSlotsConfig = window.adSlotsConfig || [];
adSlotsConfig.push( {
slotID: ‘/1049447/Outbrain’,
slotName: ‘div-gpt-ad-outbrain-ad-665166’,
sizes: [300, 250],
slotPosition: ‘mid_article’
} );
Old vs. new

The new “Log water” screen, which is now accessed from a FAB, shows the default Glass (8 fl oz), Bottle (16 fl oz), and Large bottle (24 fl oz) increments in a plus/minus interface. You can enter a “Custom amount at the bottom” and adjust the date above.
Some users are seeing this Water redesign with Fitbit 4.38, but there’s a server-side component that is not yet widely rolled out. Once this is complete, Food needs to be updated and Health Metrics should really get a native UI.
Old vs. new
