Earlier this week YouTube TV warned subscribers that the service could lose major channels including CBS, but a new deal with Paramount will prevent the loss of any channels.
On February 12, YouTube TV revealed that ongoing negotiations with Paramount had failed to reach an agreement, threatening to remove key channels from YouTube TV. CBS, CBS Sports, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, CMT, and as well as several other channels and many local stations were inclusions in the Paramount deal that would have gone missing for YouTube TV subscribers. Barely a day later, YouTube TV confirmed it had agreed to an extension to keep the channels available to subscribers as negotiations continued.
As of February 15, 2025, YouTube TV and Paramount have reached a deal that will leave CBS and other channels in place.
In a post on Twitter/X, YouTube TV details that it will continue to offer Paramount content and that channel and adds-ons will “remain uninterrupted.”

A notice on YouTube TV’s support forums reads:
We’re happy to share that we’ve reached a deal to continue carrying Paramount channels, including CBS, CBS Sports, Nickelodeon and more. With this agreement, YouTube TV will continue to offer 100+ channels and add-ons including Paramount+ and will enable more user choice in the future. To our subscribers, we appreciate your patience while we negotiated on your behalf.
YouTube TV had committed to offering a credit for subscribers if channels were “unavailable for an extended period of time.”
This comes just over a month after YouTube TV’s latest price rise took effect, with the base plan now costing $82.99/month.
